Generic Coffee Leveller
In our ongoing struggle to control the variables around espresso coffee, a consistent dosing method is one of the primary challenges. If you’re just starting to pump out a handful of coffees for the relatives and friends, keep this in mind: the pressurized water from your machine will take the easiest path through your coffee grinds – make sure it doesn’t have a chance to ‘channel’ by using a small spatula or back of a butter knife to distribute the grinds into the shallow areas and then to level any excess grinds off into your dosing chamber.
