The Western Australian Barista team have left for Adelaide to represent the state in the 2007 Australian Barista Championships.

The Western Australian Barista Championships were held early in the year over the March long weekend where, Nolan Hirte from Lemon Espresso took out the title, Jen Murray from the WA Barista Academy coming in second and Jeremy Hulsdunk from Epic Espresso coming in third. Not too far behind the pace were Vanessa Moore from Epic Espresso and Jonny Nease from Velvet, who have also travelled across to compete.

As the WA winner, Nolan gets automatic inclusion in the national final held this weekend in the City of Churches, leaving all other WA travellers a shot at the championship through the open heats.
